Usage
This machine is specially designed for pressing metallic indium. It is only suitable for pressing indium ingots with a width not exceeding 200 mm and a thickness not exceeding 25 mm. It is not suitable for pressing other metals.
Machine structure and working principle
This machine's electric motor directly drives a cycloidal pinwheel reducer, reducing the speed from 960 rpm at the input to 11 rpm at the output, thereby increasing the torque of the output shaft. The reducer drives the driving rollers in a clockwise direction (as viewed from the left side of the operating panel, toward the motor) via a pair of cross couplings. The driving rollers, in turn, drive the driven rollers in the opposite direction via four gears of the same module on the side. An indium ingot is placed between the two rollers for pressing. The ingot is simultaneously compressed and stretched, thinning and elongating. The distance between the rollers can be adjusted by adjusting the handwheel. Repeated rolling cycles can produce indium sheets of varying thicknesses, depending on the desired product. Two rows of small holes are located below the hopper , allowing coolant to flow through the hopper and then return to the circulating water tank via a waste collection and filter tank below. A circulating water pump is installed above the tank, connecting a coolant pipe and coolant nozzles above the rollers to form a coolant circulation system. This prevents the indium sheets from overheating and melting during the pressing process.
